Those of you who have already read my review of the Toshiba R400 know that I am a big fan of this particular Tablet PC. I knew I was going to like The Toshiba R400 from the first time I laid eyes on it at CES in January of this year. Nine months later my opinion hasn't changed. What's in the Box:
The simple elegance of the high gloss piano white finish combined with high gloss Piano black trim of the R400 still makes a for a great first impression and bring a big smile to my face when i pull it from the box. The Toshiba R400 series remains the most elegant computer design I've seen.
The Toshiba R400 as soon as you and feel it your hands you know its special
The unique design of the Toshiba R400 Tablet PC, attention to ascetic detail and unique features like the Toshiba Edge Display and a 12.1 Widescreen XGA LED Back light Display with High Brightness and Wide Viewing Angle, built in EDVO make this R400 stand out in a crowd. No question that if your using this in a public place people are going to notice it and ask questions.
The display is clear and crisp, and the experience with the pen is the best I have experienced to date.. In tablet mode, the R400 feels very much like a slate and the pen glides effortlessly over the smooth surface of the screen. Ink from the pen flows as naturally as if you were using paper and pen.
I'll have a full review for you in a few weeks, but for now I can tell you that the R400 is the exception to the rule in that it is its not for intended to be for everyone. Its for those who dare to be different, appreciate style and enjoy owning a Tablet PC that is an expression of who they are.
My First Impression of the R400 remains unchanged: I love this Tablet PC.
