Major "Wow" Factor - Fujitsu Lifebook T2010 Tablet PC

Some things don't change and many months later I can tell you that I am just as enamored and impressed with the Fujitsu T2010 Tablet Pc as the day I got it.    Giving up my favorite go anywhere machine isn't an easy thing to do.

With so may Tablet PCs available today what makes the T2010 such a standout? Because living in sunny Southern California and having friends and clients living beach side with homes dominated by plate glass windows, the Fujitsu T2010 with its amazing outdoor viewable screen is a life saver.

Fujitsu Lifebook T2010 Tablet PC outside

If a meeting suddenly gets moved poolside, slope side or in a room with solid walls of glass I can still see what I'm doing.  I can still do a demo and I don't risk being embarrassed when I try to demo a machine that can not be seen in bright light.

The Fujitsu Lifebook T2010 Tablet PC has the best indoor - outdoor display I have ever seen on a Tablet PC.  You can clearly see the T2010 screen even in very bright sun.  Adding to the accolades for this screen is that fact that there is no loss of brightness or clarity indoors, so you don't have to compromise indoor quality to get outdoor visibility!   The display is nothing short of amazing and my photographs simply don't do it justice.

The photo below was taken with full sun shining on the screen

Weighing in at 3.5 pounds with up to up to 11 hours of battery life, the new Fujitsu T2010 Tablet PC is housed in black case with what appears to be just a touch of lack metallic on the top.

The Pen and Ink Experience:  The "Pen Feel" when your writing on the 12.1" WXGA indoor/outdoor active digitizer display is is good, the right click button on the pen works nicely and writing flows easily.    and The pen storage compartment gives you easy access to the pen which makes it fingernail friendly for the female executives and students out there.

Battery: an amazing 5 hours 9 minutes of battery life with the brightness turned all the way up, the wireless and blue tooth on, no standby, sleep disabled and the screen and hard drive set to always on.  According to Fujitsu using the max battery setting you will be able to get up to 11 hours of battery life.

While I never tested this with the max battery setting I can tell you that I've used The Fujitsu T2010 all day without plugging in and without running out of battery power.

There is no question that the setting I use for my battery test are going to give you the shortest amount of battery life.  this is done intentionally -I need to know the absolute minimum battery life I can expect, that is why I run the battery test this way.

Display: 12.1" WXGA indoor/outdoor active digitizer display with wide viewing angles that is bright, crisp, clear and looks as good outside as it does inside Without question of the best displays available.

Speaker: Single speaker located on the front right of the keyboard is fine for "Windows" sounds but not good for listening to music or watching a movie without headphones.

Who is it For:  Like all of the Fujitsu Tablet PCs the The Fujitsu T2010 Tablet PC an excellent choice for anyone and everyone.    Home users, students, office and road warriors will all be happy with the Fujitsu T420 should be very happy with their choice.

Heat: Heat was not an issue with the Fujitsu LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC, does get warm but not overly so.

Weight: starting at 3.5 pounds

Notable Features:

Indoor/Outdoor Display—Same as the indoor display but with an anti-reflective coating instead, the indoor/outdoor display offers improved viewing experience with better contrast and less reflections. You will be amazed at the clarity of this LED back-lit display designed to be used indoors in your office or home work environment as well as casual outdoor usage. This bright indoor/outdoor display offers greater than 160° viewing angles as well.

Bi directional Hinge - Allows users to turn the screen in both direction so you can share the screen with people on either side of you

One-Touch Application Launch and Function Buttons
There are five intuitive and easy-to-use buttons that enable you to launch applications or easily navigate within them. With one-touch launch buttons you can easily rotate your screen orientation or scroll up and down within an application document. Each of these buttons also has a secondary function, and two of the secondary functions are user-programmable which means you can assign your most commonly used applications to those buttons for quick and easy access. For detail function description, please refer to the Getting Started Guide or the User’s Guide.

Fujitsu Utility Menu
Not only is the hardware user-friendly and intuitive, but the Fujitsu-designed software utility bundle is, too. Pressing the Fn (Function) button twice, or clicking from the taskbar, will bring up the floating Fujitsu Menu Utility from which you have one-tap access to almost any setting imaginable for your LifeBook T2010 Tablet PC including brightness control, tablet and pen settings, Fujitsu Display Controls, power options, and more. The Fujitsu Menu is completely customizable and expandable so you can use what you want and remove what you don't want. In fact, it's so user-friendly that you can add your own preferences directly onto the menu to give you the most productive, custom-tailored environment.

Thunders Storm is always fond of the Fujitsu Tablet PCs

This machine is built to meet the needs those who work indoors and out and are always on the go.   It would be a great Tablet PC for students at Pepperdine Malibu or any other university where students are known to study on the beach and on outdoor decks.

For the Past few seasons the The Hollywood Bowl sound system has been controlled with a first gen Fujitsu 4121 Tablet PC - I'm sure they would love to have seen this one but set up for the 2008 season doesn't start until next week.

Everything about the T2010 feels strong and sturdy, including the bi-directional hinge that allows users to turn the screen to the right or the left to share the screen with people on either side of them.

The Fujitsu's T2010 Tablet PC that I had here was running Windows Vista Business and Microsoft® Office OneNote® 2007 is pre installed. Six pre configured base options and the ability to customize five of them to suit individual needs makes it easy for everyone to order their new Fujitsu Tablet PC with the options and extras best suited to their needs.
