The amazing clarity of the xTablet T8700's  outdoor screen made it the perfect machine for controlling the sound in the Hollywood Bowl for the 2008 concert season.   In the booth or outside in the bright California sun,  both Fred Vogler, L. A. Philharmonic Sound Designer and Michael Cooper, Audio/Video Department Head at the Hollywood Bowl found the Mobile Demand xTablet T8700 Rugged Tablet PC to be the best Tablet PC they had even had the pleasure of using.

The hand strap makes it easy to walk around the Bowl with the xTablet T8700 and the docking cradle is perfect for suing in the sound booth.

For those of you who are not familiar with the Hollywood Bowl, it is a Historical Los Angeles Landmark that seats 17,376 patrons, making it the the largest natural amphitheater in the United States.   Each season the Bowl classical, popular, jazz, world music and pop and rock concerts are held at the Hollywood Bowl.

The popularity of the Hollywood Bowl combined with the warm weather in Southern California  make the Bowl a favorite concert venue and each season seems to get longer and longer.  The 2008 Season started in mid June with the and will end on November 8th.     From start to finish the xTablet T8700 is the Tablet PC they are using to interface with the Dolby Lake Controller software for the sound system.

The Mobile Demand xTablet is SOLID!  The ease of touch screen operation combined with its operating speed sets it apart from my experience with any other Tablet PCs.  Not to mention its daylight friendly screen!  The Mobile Demand Tablet is reliable, rugged and the right tool for live sound!  Fred Vogler, L. A. Philharmonic Sound Designer
