The eagerly anticipated Fujitsu U810 UMPC has arrived at TabletPc2.com and I'm happy to report it was worth the wait.

This handy Ultra Mobile PC weighs a mere 1.56 pounds and is roughly the size of a paperback novel.  In fact if it were not for the battery it would be smaller than a paperback, which means it is both small enough and light enough to take with you anywhere you go.   Don't let the small size fool you, the Fujitsu U810 UMPC is packed with features that let you do anything and everything you need to do, where ever you happen to be.

Small in size and big on features the Fujitsu Lifebook U810 UMPC is what ever you need it to be. A Tablet Pc with full pen, ink and touch capabilities.   A palm sized notebook that runs your productivity applications.   A portable entertainment center that will let you listen to music or watch a movie.  A hand held computer that lets you surf the web, edit photos and keep up with your email. You can do it all with the Fujitsu U810 UMPC.

Packed into it's 6.73” (W) x 5.24” (D) x 1.04~1.26” (H) body is a 40 GB hard drive, Fingerprint Sensor, Audio-in, Audio-out, Power, Adapter DC-in, VGA/Lan Adapter2 External cable for connection to RJ45 (LAN), VGA (external display), Card Slots 1 x Type I/II CF Card slot, 1 x Secure Digital (SD) Card Reader, Bluetooth® v2.0, Realtek 8101L 100Base Ethernet, Atheros Super AG™ 802.11ABG wireless connection with dual antenna, Integrated Camera 0.3 Mega Pixeland and last but not least a battery that's said to last 5.5 hours. ........  So far the only noticeable thing missing is a second USB port.

Currently the the Fujitsu's U810 UMPC can be ordered in two configurations Genuine Windows Vista® Business with Microsoft® Office OneNote 2007 or Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium with Microsoft® Works 8.5 and Office 2007 Home and Student Trial.

The finish of the U810 is a dark metallic silver that gives the machine a upscale look and thankfully resists fingerprints.  The attached keyboard is compact but usable, even for those of us with long nails.

It has only been here two days, but I can tell you that I'm really enjoying using it and being able to put it in my purse and take it where ever I go

Outside in the Shade

The Fujitsu U810 UMPC shown above does not have an outdoor display,  but as you can see for yourself when it is not in direct sun the screen is easy to view.
