Windows Vista vs Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005
I understand that there are corporations out there that require people to use Windows® XP rather than Windows Vista and I applaud Fujitsu for making Windows XP available for those are mandated to use Windows XP rather than Windows Vista. However for those of you who have a choice, I recommend Windows Vista.
Addressing the obvious difference which is battery life, the battery life is better with Windows XP, but as far as I am concerned, the Tablet features in Windows Vista far outweigh the shorter battery life. Besides that, unless you are required to do so, ordering a new computer with an obsolete operating system makes no sense.
That said, If your planning on using the Tablet PC features order your Fujitsu P1620 with windows Vista and 2 gigs of memory.
Currently the the Fujitsu's P1620 Tablet PC can be ordered in three customizable configurations Starting at $1749.00 that give users the option of Windows Vista® Business with Microsoft® Office OneNote 2007, Windows® XP Tablet PC Edition, or Genuine Windows® XP Professional with
EverNote® Plus.

Preliminary Conclusion.....
It's no secret that I think highly of this series of Fujitsu LifeBook's. I look forward to doing a full review when I have the opportunity to review a P1620 running Windows Vista.
Until then....
The Fujitsu Lifebook P1620 may very well be the perfect travel companion. A small for factor Notebook - Tablet PC that lets you get things done but doesn't take up space or weigh you down.
If your an individual who's always on the go, I highly recommend checking out the Fujitsu Lifebook P1620 Notebook - Tablet PC.
